Skyward Systems is an independent app studio based in Colorado. No investors, no growth targets to hit — just a small team building tools we'd want to use ourselves, and standing behind them after they ship.
Why we build this way
Most apps try to do everything and end up doing nothing particularly well. We'd rather ship something small that handles one job completely — fuel and maintenance tracking, in Roadworthy's case — than bolt on features that dilute what it's actually good at.
Roadworthy started from a plain frustration: spreadsheets and disconnected apps made it hard to know what a vehicle actually cost to own. We built the tool we wanted for ourselves first, then made it ready for everyone else.
How we operate

Skyward Systems is based in Colorado. Small enough that decisions get made by the people who actually build and support the apps.
Privacy by default
No accounts required for core features, no ad tracking, and sync runs through your own iCloud rather than our servers.

Frequently asked
No. Roadworthy is a one-time purchase with no subscription. Open the App Store on the new device, signed into the same Apple ID, and download it again at no charge. The same purchase covers your iPhone and iPad.
Yes, as long as the device is signed into iCloud. Roadworthy syncs through your own private iCloud, so your vehicles appear on any iPhone or iPad signed into the same Apple ID. The first sync on a new device can take a few minutes. If you're not signed into iCloud, data stays on that device only.
There's no account to delete. Deleting a record or vehicle in the app removes it from your devices and your iCloud. To remove everything, delete the app, then on your iPhone or iPad go to Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage, choose Roadworthy, and delete its data.
Check that both devices are signed into the same Apple ID and that iCloud is on for Roadworthy (Settings → your name → iCloud). Roadworthy's own Settings screen shows the current sync status and what to do if it needs attention. Sync runs in the background and can take a few minutes.
Roadworthy flags fill-ups that produce unrealistic MPG for that vehicle, usually from a mistyped odometer reading, a missed fill-up, or a full/partial tank mix-up. Open Data Quality to fix the entry, or tap Ignore if it's correct.
Your iOS version, your iPhone or iPad model, and what you were doing right before it happened. A screenshot is the single most useful thing for tracking down a bug.
All purchases go through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple directly: reportaproblem.apple.com. We're glad to help troubleshoot first if something isn't working as expected.

Most messages get a reply within 24 hours on weekdays. This is a small team — thanks for your patience on weekends and holidays.

Privacy Policy

The short version
Skyward Systems, LLC does not collect, see, sell, or share your data. Roadworthy has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking or SDKs.
Where your data is stored
Everything you enter in Roadworthy (vehicles, maintenance, fuel, expenses, trips, reminders, specs, documents, and photos) is stored on your device. If your device is signed into iCloud, it is also stored in your private iCloud database so it syncs across your iPhone and iPad. That database belongs to your Apple ID and is covered by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it.
Camera, photos, and notifications
- The camera is used only when you choose to photograph a receipt or document.
- Photos you pick are copied into the app. Roadworthy doesn't read the rest of your photo library.
- Notifications are used only for the service reminders you create, and are scheduled on your device.
Exports and imports
PDF and CSV exports are created on your device and go only where you choose to send them. Files you import are read on your device and are not uploaded anywhere.
Crash reports
If you've turned on Share with App Developers in iOS (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share anonymous crash reports with us. You control this setting, and it contains no content from the app.
Support requests
When you contact support, by email or through the form on our Support page, we receive whatever you include, typically your name, email address, and a description of the issue. Form messages are sent from our website server directly to our support inbox; no outside form service is involved. We use this information only to answer you and keep it only as long as needed to do so.
Deleting your data
Deleting a record or vehicle in the app removes it from your devices and your iCloud. Deleting the app removes the data on that device. To remove the iCloud copy too, go to Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage on your iPhone or iPad, choose Roadworthy, and delete its data.
Children
Roadworthy is not directed to children and collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
